  • Race Matrix disc brake pads are a medium density compound that uses an Uberbike exclusive custom blend of friction materials, which provides a strong bite response with an increase in both brake power and pad life, with a strong, progressive feel throughout the braking range. The custom compound uses a unique blend of metals and friction materials, offering increased durability over standard organic based pads, whilst boasting one of the highest levels of stopping power in our range. It's also a rotor friendly compound, making it safe to use on all rotor types.

  • This version of the pad features our reduced thickness base plate, allowing for a 25% increase in compound thickness without altering the overall pad thickness. Not only does this extend pad life even further, but the thicker compound material is capable of absorbing more vibrations, which is the common cause of brake noise.

  • In working closely with our long standing manufacturing partners, who also produce pads for the key brands of braking systems, we are able to offer superior quality, with increased performance and longevity due to our own custom friction material blends, this is in addition with our direct to consumer supply chain, saving you costly distributor and retailer markups.

I've only just started using this on my Saints, it feel better than ori, more modulation than metal pad from Shimano. Highly recommended this.

I've been using the Race Matrix pads in my Zees all summer in Chamonix which is a real testing ground for pads, with single 1200-1600m vertical descents weekly or 4000m easily on a full day of lift-accessed riding. The feel is good, similar to Shimano's resin pads I think (plenty power and not too grabby), but a more experienced friend who races says they feel better than Shimano's, and one set lasts me about a month (about 15 big rides) which is about average compared to sintered pads I've tried before. Bed-in was quick and they've always been silent. Cheap Clarks sintered pads on my old SLX brakes were incredibly noisy for me last summer and they really ate away my rotors in a just few months but the Race Matrix seem to be kinder. I might try Uberbike's sintered pads next to see if they offer much longer life than the Race Matrix.

Before I had even fitted these pads I was a happy customer. My first pair was lost on the way to NZ and without hesitation uberbike sent replacements out. I run M820 Saints. I fitted the pads, gave the system a good bleed and went out in some filthy muddy conditions to see how they measured up to Shimano sintered pads. They took 1 run to bed in and they feel excellent! Very quiet and have the strong bite and feel of organic pads. I can't comment on longevity yet but to me they're worth every cent.

Superb pads

Called into the shop a couple of weeks ago looking for Kevlar pads to replace my stock finned sintered pads in my Saint M820 brakes. Was advised to give the race compound a try. They have been superb now on a couple of trips away in bigger terrain to local rides. Took the time to break them in and they are quiet "über " powerful and give constant non fade deep power. Will be purchasing these again and a set for my XT's. Try them you won't be disappointed.
