How to winterise your bike

Here in the UK, it's realistic to expect to come home from a winter ride with both you and your bike completely filthy, dripping wet, and covered in mud and grime.

Throw snow and road salt into the mix and it’s a catalyst for corrosion, with a shortfall in your bike's performance and component life expectancy, all of which are costly things to have to deal with. The last thing you want when out riding is to be stood out in the cold and wet whilst having to deal with what could have been an easily avoided mechanical issue.

Here are some of our top tips on how you can get your bike winter ready and help keep it going for longer. All the tips in the video are things you can easily carry out at home, from simple waterproofing of your frame, to stripping and servicing your bottom bracket!
