  • Race Matrix disc brake pads are a medium-density compound that uses an Uberbike exclusive custom blend of friction materials, which provides a strong bite response with an increase in both brake power and pad life, with a strong, progressive feel throughout the braking range. The custom compound uses a unique blend of metals and friction materials, offering increased durability over standard organic-based pads, whilst boasting one of the highest levels of stopping power in our range. It's also a rotor-friendly compound, making it safe to use on all rotor types.

  • This version of the pad features our reduced-thickness base plate, allowing for a 25% increase in compound thickness without altering the overall pad thickness. Not only does this extend pad life even further, but the thicker compound material is capable of absorbing more vibrations, which is the common cause of brake noise.

Bought these back in August to replace the standard Avid Elixer5 pads that had worn out and had been noisy for weeks. I did not like the RaceMatrix at first. They felt like they were slipping through the disc and not stopping me. I normally opt for sintered pads that bite quick and hard. It took a few weeks for me to get to grips with the progressive feel of this compound. But now 4 months on and 1100miles of XC & Enduro later i am converted. They have lasted longer than i expected, they have been silent and i really like the controllable feel of the braking. Will definitely buy these again over sintered.

From these pad, after doing a lot of searching on the web "how to stop brakes screeching squeaking ect" I read a couple of review and tried these pads out, amazing stopping power and not a single sound! Ridden in wet muddy conditions, dry sunny conditions these are everything you could want from a pad, now on my second lot, won't even be trying any others these will be a permenant addition to my bike.

Bought a pair of these race matrix last year to try them out. They have great stopping power.I have just taken them off as I'm off to Scotland at weekend and they are worn down to the metal spring clips.Even so - on last night's ride I could pull the front brake and it would lift the back wheel off the ground while I'm sat on the seat and I weigh 16 stone. They aren't 'grabby' though, they give you loads of feel from gentle braking to a dead stop. Best pads I've ever used, and they've lasted very well.Brilliant pads.

Matrix pads are the way forward.

These pads did a full weekend at Stiniog (Wales) hard breaking in wet and dry condtions.I still have the same pads in to this day 3 weeks on. They dont make a sound and have a hell of a bite.I will be buying some more when needed. (Fitted on a Norco DH bike)
